When a player becomes a member of the BPTA they will receive a progress report at the end of every term. This will include information on how the player is getting on, as well as highlighting areas for improvement. We run physical and tennis tests throughout the term as these help us gauge how the players are progressing.
As soon as you join the BPTA we urge you to become a British Tennis Member. You can do this at www.lta.org.uk/Members/Join/ which is free to join for all 8 & under players. As a British Tennis Member you will then receive a BTM number and a mini tennis rating. When joining you must register your club as BLT&SRC and then pass on your BTM number to the BPTA for our records. For more information on how the mini tennis ratings and competitions work please see INFORMATION ON MINI TENNIS COMPETITIONS AND RATINGS.
The LTA split the year into a winter and summer season. The winter season runs from September 1st to March 31st and the summer season from April 1st to August 31st. Both seasons have a full competition programme, so you can compete throughout the whole year. These seasons, along with your date of birth, will determine what level you will be playing at e.g. Red, Orange or Green and for how long. At the end of every competition season we have a newsletter where you can read up on all the latest news for all BPTA players including playerâ┚¬Ã¢”ž¢s ratings reports, competition success and much more. You can read up on the latest edition by clicking on BPTA NEWSLETTER.
